About Us

Why We Began
Everyone can have a song of their own —their own ideas, their own voice.
What We Set Out to Do
Founded in 2018, Every Life Is A Song is a music social enterprise built on the belief that everyone deserves a song of their own, with the vision of an original song library of Hong Kong's many voices. Through community, co-creation and professional songwriting mentorship programmes, we use pop music and related creative work to connect communities and nurture local creative talent who care about them. Our projects span Central & Western, Wan Chai, Sham Shui Po and Kwai Tsing, on themes from youth mental health and craftspeople to dementia and caregiving — opening up new possibilities for life and for music.
Methodology
01
Co-Creation
共同創作Music serves as an accessible creative medium that empowers participants to become the storytellers of their own lives, offering a safe space to express themselves through melody and lyrics beyond spoken words. The creative process fosters self-exploration and healing, while the finished song becomes a vessel for emotions and memories—both a place of grounding and a lasting reminder of their journey.

流行音樂模式By using a pop music approach, we connect songwriting with the intrinsic value of life. We bridge music creators with the public to transform everyday human stories into songs—sparking dialogue, fostering connection and bringing the city's diverse voices into mainstream culture to drive lasting social and cultural impact.
